Cruise to the Prom

WOW!!!!!

We don't know what else to say. All of the gang behind Cruise to the Prom are totally blown away by the support that the VW community has given to Cruise to the Prom. Still a relatively new event and this year boasting an estimated attendance of around 800 vehicles! So far we have donated in excess of £2000 to the charities from this years gate takings already, and we are hoping to be able to make a further donation to both the RNLI and Weston Hospicecare once all the bills are paid.

We have had a lot of requests for stickers etc as the goodie-bags disappeared quickly, and so have now set up an account on Ebay to enable you to buy then, along with other CTTP merchandise, again with the profits going to the good causes nominated for this year. We are also looking in to having a number of the marshalls lanyards printed off if people are interested in them also.

We are already working hard on the official DVD of this years event so keep your eye on the website and also our Facebook group.

As the event coordinator I would like to pass on my huge and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed, including the sponsors, Lemorris for the artwork, the members of Der Blitzen Sphincters and the friends who got dragged along on the day. I would also like to thanks Avon and Somerset Police and North Somerset Council in their help and assistance in the planning for the event.

Finally I would also like to extend our gratitude to the foam finger wearing, tutu clad gents from Weston Scooter Club for manning the junctions and helping everyone head in the right direction.

If for any reason you have contributed and I haven't thanked you here, I sincerely apologise and to let you know you too that your efforts were much appreciated.
